1. Do I need a username and password to apply for a permit?
  In order to apply for permit types; Electrical, Electrical Self
Certification Tags, Heating and Cooling, Plumbing, Structural, Right-of-Way,
Master and Sewer Later Connection you will need to
become a monthly account holder and be pre-approved
by the Division of Compliance. If you are applying for a Property Owner Permit,
or are renewing your General Contractor or Craft License, you will not need to become a monthly account
holder and can pay for the transactions with a credit or debit card.
  Monthly account holders are assessed an annual $50.00 fee and are issued up to ten usernames and
passwords. Pre-approval forms are sent to the Division of Compliance. After both the
monthly account
holder agreement form and the pre-approval form have been received and approved, LoGO will contact the
listed account administrator with username and password information so you can begin filing permits
online.
2. How do I obtain a username and password?
  Obtaining a username and
password is easy! Visit the IndyGov.Biz Subscriber Center by clicking
here. Sign up for a monthly
account agreement and submit your pre-approval form(s) today.
3) Do I need to get pre-approval from the DOC for each different type of permit?
  Each different type of permit you submit online requires
pre-approval from the Division of Compliance. Please click on the link(s) below to download a copy of
the pre-approval form for each permit type;
  Electrical
  Heating and Cooling
  Plumbing Permits
  Master Permits
  Right of Way
  Right of Way Utility Companies
  Sewer Lateral Connection
  Structural Permits
4) How long should my pre-approval take?
  Pre-approval is submitted to the Division of Compliance and can
take several weeks depending upon the time of year submitted. If you have questions about your
pre-approval form, please contact the Division of Compliance at 317.327.8700.
5) How do I pay for permits submitted online?
  Once you have obtained your username and password and begin
submitting online permits, you will be sent a monthly statement from LoGO Indiana. You do not need to
pay the Division of Compliance for any permits submitted online. In order to submit permits online,
you must be setup with automatic billing either via a credit card, or bank account, and your account
will be paid via this method each month for the previous month's activity.
6) How do I renew a permit online?
  If you need to renew or extend a permit, you have the ability to do so, through
the online permit inspection request form. This feature is not available for all
permit types.
7) How do I send in a completion card?
  In order to send in a completion card, you must be a monthly account user and
have submitted the permit through the IndyGov.Biz portal. On the ‘Permit
Status' page you will see the option to submit a completion card for a permit if it
is not expired or on hold.
8) How do I update my user profile and/or what does it mean when it asks me to update my profile?
  Your permit profile is in place to ensure that only valid applicants
are applying for permits on behalf of approved contractors or sole proprietors. If you receive a
message stating that you need to update your permit profile, it could mean that your agent or company
license information needs to be updated with the Division of Compliance (317.327.3700). In order to
update your permit profile, please follow the steps below;
